His Weight in Gold
AGA KHAN’S GENEROSITY His Highness the Aga Khan, was recently weighed in the scales at Bombay against a heap of gold. The treasure needed to balance him weighed IG stone, worth about £25,000. Part of it will be distributed to the poor. This ceremony was part of the celebration of His Highness’s Golden Jubilee as head of the great sect of Ismaeli Mahommedans, of whom theru are about 5,000,000 all over Asia. The main celebrations were held ia Bombay, where thousands of Khojas, as the Aga Khan’s followers arj known, assembled. Leading men and women of all communities were present.
