Catholic Youth Organisations
NO PROTEST AGAINST ARRESTS OF OFFICIALS. COURT PROCEEDINGS WILL EXPLAIN. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyrign t. COLOGNE, February 23. A letter from the Vicar-General upon the order of the Archbishop and read in all Catholic churches, indicated that no active protest was being made by the church against the recent arrests of officials of Catholic youth organisations. It says that it was hoped that the public' would learn the full circumstances from Court proceedings. It adds that whatever tho verdict, the fact remains that the organisations for three years have been in the forefront against Communism and Marxism and have done everything to educate the German youth to be good citizens. Another letter from the Archbishop, read in some of tho churches, asked that Catholic parents firmly resist the new State schools in which religion would no longer occupy a primary position.
