The licensee of the ■ Duke of -Edinburgh Hotel in Wellington, Mr W. G. Pope, was agreeably' surprised last week to receive through-the'mail a letter . containing twelve . penny stamps. The sender explained that ten years ago he had taken a glass from one of the bars in the hotel, and was clearing his conscience -by sending along the price • of - the purloined article.
