This evening Kouini residents will meet in the hall where a reception is to be given the Bush All Black representative, Mr Athol Mahoney.
Mrs A. Mortland, of Taihape, who ■ has been on a short, visit to a sister and j brother-in-law of Kaitawa, has return'd home.
The Mangatainoka hall was crowded on Friday evening when a farewell danco and presentation was tendered Mr Allan Walker, a popular member of the Mangatainoka Football Club who, for the past four years has been on the staff Of the Bank of New Zealand and who has been transferred on promotion to Mataniata. He was the recipient of a chiming clock and in thanking the club for the gift and kind remarks, regretted he was leaving the district and would., always, remember the many happy games played for the club.
