Pigs and Poultry
The Dominion Auctioneering Company, Palmerston North, reports a very large yarding of pigs and poultry at its weekly pig fair, held on Saturday. Bealisations were as follow: — Small weaners, 6s 6d to 9s; best weaners up to 14s; slips up to 18s 6d; stores up to 26; porkers, 36s to 425. Price realisations for poultry were as follow: —
White hens, 2s to 3s lOd; black hens, 4s to 5s Sd; black cockerels, os to 6s 6d; white cockerels, 4s to 6s; ducks and ducklings, 4s to 6s (3d; pullets, 8s to 11s (all prices being per pair).
