Golf at Hokowhitu
BOGEY HANDICAPS WON BY G. M. McGASKILL The Glendinning cup competition Was continued at Hokowhitu during the week-end when a bogey handicap was played. The course was in splendid order, with the fairways and greens slower than is usual in the summer. Quite a big field faced the starter and with the temperaturo fairly high through the greens, and very much higher in the bunkers, the “Colonel” kept one and all fiat out all the way. Three players succeeded in finishing oq tho right side, and they wore G. M. McCaskill, A. Seifert and A. Snell, McCaskill securing a clear-cut win with 2 up. Tho leading cards were as under:— G. M. McCaskill, 2 up. A. Seifert, 1 up. A. Snell, 1 up. W. E. Winks, 1 down. E. R. Chapman, 1 down. lan Stevenson, 1 down. C. Graham, 1 down. A. Anderson, 3 down. J. Graham, 3 down.
