Cheese. —N.Z. coloured:— This week 56/Last week 57/6 A month ago SS/A year ago -17/6 56/- equals 11. Slid lb. butterfat payout. Comment. Last summer butter declined from 91s on 9th February to 72s on 23rd March. Cheese followed a similar course, but to a less degree, dropping from -17 sod to -15 sOd only, really a very steady course. The position, statistically, is such that both butter and cheese should hold their values. Payments for January butterfat in the Auckland province are generally in line with the lOd being paid out by Manawatu companies, for butter. The big Morrinsville factory is, however, paying out lOld (for butter), Waikato cheese factories arc paying from IOJd to lid.
