ANNUAL MEETING HELD. There was a good attendance and an enthusiastic gathering when tho 15th annual general meeting of the Palmerston North Horticultural Society was held last evening. Mr. A. W. Just presided. The aunual report (previously published in the “Times”) was read and adopted together with the balancesheet, which revealed a satisfactory position.

The merging of the Garden Circle and the society was next dealt with and amalgamation was agreed to unanimously, - Mr. Russell was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for the donation of a trophy for the open dahlia class,
