Foggy Rain Probable

WELLINGTON, Last Night,
A* disturbance has crossed the South Island, but a rather deep low-pressure centre is still located over the North Tasman and tho pressure is rather high over Tasmania. Winds: Moderate to strong south to south-east south of New Plymouth and Napier; elsewhere northerlies, probably again extending later as far south as Cook strait.
Seas (N.Z. waters): Rough at times north of Rawhia and Tauranga and -u the Cook strait area. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to fresh northerly winds in tho northern portion, elsewhere south-easterly. Seas moderate.
Weather: Cloudy to overcast in places; misty or foggy rain probably in most districts, with some heavy falls in the North Island, but improving later in the western and southern portions of tho South Island.
