GERMAN LEADER CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY.

United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.

Received Monday, 9.5 p.m. BERLIN, Jan. 13.

General Goering celebrated his forty-third birthday with the greatest party of his life, a ball iu the State opera house lasting until 4.0 a.m., the splendour recalling imperial Germany. There were 2100 guests, the majority paying fifty marks apiece admission for tickets which nobody unknown to Goering was allowed to buy. Hitler and Goebbcls were not present. The decorations cost thousands of pounds. There were bowers of spring flowers and fountains played while miles of satin and silver garlanded the Toof. Thousands of bottles of champagne were sold at a pound apiece.

The Grown Prince in the uniform of the Death’s Head Hussars, ex-King Ferdinand of Bulgaria, Prince August Wilhelm in the uniform of a stormtrooper and most of the diplomats corps, including Sir Eric Phipps, were present.

The proceeds were devoted to charity.
