Kenilworth Castle

TRANSFER TO LOCAL BODY (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Jan. 11. It is understood that Kenilworth Castle, which in the thirteenth century, was given- to Simon de Montfort, by King Henry 111., and holds an important place in English history, may shortly be taken over by the Kenilworth local authority. The castle is the property of Lord Clarendon, GovernorGeneral of South Africa, and negotiations for the transfer are reported jo be in an advanced stage.
