Wairarapa Fanners’ Picnic
Brilliant sunshine favoured Wairarapa Farmers’ for their annual picnic held at Waitarero beach yesterday. Chiefly due f,o the splendid organisation, the picnic drew a large crowd and games, swimming and sunbathing were indulged in by the youthful members of the party, while others found considerable pleasure in digging for toheroas wnich are very plentiful around Waitarere. A tired but happy party returned to Pahiatua at the conclusion of an enjoyable afternoon.
