The recent depression is passing away eastward, but the following rise of pressure has been slight and a fresh depression is advancing across the Tasman- Sea.
Winds:' Light to moderate and variable, SOuth-westerlies predominating at first,;, but .northeriies later south of New Plymouth and Napier. Seas (N.Z. w'aters): Light to moderate.
Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate south-west to north-west winds and slight to moderate seas. Weather: Pair to fine generally at first, but clouding over later in Westland and the far south, and .some rain following. Temperatures warm.
