Bank of France Rate
DOWN TO 4 PER CENT. United Press Association—By Electric ' Telegraph.—Copyright. PARIS, Jan. 9. The Bank of France rate lias been lowered from 5 per cent, to 4 per cent. In an effort to check the outward flow of gold the Bank of France , rate has had some remarkable variations since May of last year, when it was 21 per cent. It has twice been up to (i per cent, (on May 28 and November 25), and the lowest it has been since May was 31 per cent., on July 18. It was reduced from G to 5 per cent, on December 31.
