Rayon Production Mounts
The rayon production of the world's leading producers established new high records in 1935.
The United States is by far the largest producer, Japan holds second place, followed by Germany, Italy, and Britain. For the past year, Japan produced 100,000 tons of rayon fibre, an increase of 45 per cent, on the 1934 output. Italy produced 66,000 tons, her production being up by 43 per cent. Britain's production was 55,000 tons and had increased by 32 per cent. The world’s rayon fibre production must have totalled close upon 500,000 tons last year.
