A. and P. Association

MEETING OF EXECUTIVE A meeting of tho executivo of the Pahiatua A. and P. Association was held yesterday afternoon, Mr. W. Fulton presiding in tho unavoidable absence of the chairman, Mr. F. E. Ward. A lengthy list of correspondence was dealt with, amongst which was a letter from the Royal Agricultural Society in respect of formalities to be observed in issuing licenses to sidesnowmen.

It was also stated that the membership fee to tho society was based on a contribution of £1 per cont. with a minimum of £l, Pahiatua’s fee would bo £l. A letter was received from Mr. W. L. Holdaway, secretary of the Pahiatua Young Farmers’ Club, asking that they be allowed permission for members to act as assistant stewards at the forthcoming show and go around with the judges while tho latter were adjudicating. The club also asked that tho association put on a section for cattle judging for club members.

This was agreed to, Mr. J. Campbell donating one guinea as first prize and the association 10s as second prize. Entry fee will be Is.

New members elected were Messrs R. J. Smith (Hamua), J. W. Beech (Ivonini), J. A. Hunt (Ruawhata), Josepii Roso (Kohimii) and G. G. Hill (Pahiatua). The matter of arrangements for the luncheon and booth was left with Messrs H. Cotter and J. A. Walsh. Messrs B. Draper and F. R. Allen were asked to arrange for class ribbons.
