“Bedroom Tea” for Bride-elect
On Tuesday Mrs R. G. Linklater entertained Miss Mavis Linklater, of Milson, at a “bedroom tea”' at her homo at Waiata, Mrs Linklater wore a striking frock of black and white floral' crepe do chine, while Miss Linklatcr choso navy and white spotted silk crepe with navy accessories. Weather conditions were against advantage being taken of any outside entertainment., but cheerful- log - fires iu o drawing and dining-rooms brightened the interior and added to the comfort of the guests. Iceland poppies -’ll roses created a riot of colour indoors. A good deal of amusement resulted from two competitions which closely held the' interest of the guests, and resulted in Mrs A. Maxwell and Mrs Noel Shortall being the winners. Miss Linklater was the recipient of manyuseful and attractive gifts for her bedroom, and for these she expressed warm appreciation.

Knight and Mrs Anderson.
