From Our Own Oorres[ioudent, The death occurred on Friday, October IS, of Air Thomas Romley, a highly respected resident of WlVakarongu. Air Romley had been in bad health for the last five years, but his sudden death came as a great shock to his many friends and relations. Air Romley was born in Cork, Ireland, in 187 S, and when only five years of age, ho came to New Zealand with Ids parents on the ship lonic. His boyhood was spent mostly at Halcombc and Karere, and later on ha joined the staff '©f Abraham and Williams Ltd., of Palmerston North. In 1006 he married Aliss Violet Aberhart of Blenheim, and stayed for twelve years in the Hawke's Bay district. He later came to the Manawatu district and took up farming at Whakarongo where ho proved very successful. Deceased leaves a widow, and an adopted son, Air Gordon Romley of Whakarongo, also livo brothers and two sisters.
