Brief Fine Spell Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. An anti-cyclone covers the New Zealand area, but an intense cyclonic depression is situated on the western Tasman Sea and is moving slowly eastwards.
AVinds: North-easterly to northerly, light to moderate but gradually freshening. Seas (Now Zealand waters): Smooth to moderate, but later rising north of East Cape and south of Cape Egmont. Eastern Tasman Sea: Freshening northerly winds and rising seas. AVeather: Fine generally at first with rising temperatures; cloudy and misty conditions gradually setting in, however, and rain developing shortly in the far north and south and extending over most of the Dominion within the next 3(j to 48 hours.
