Feilding Enjoys Summer Day
.Folio-wing a sharp frost over Sunday night Feilding enjoyed a perfect summer’s day yesterday when a cloudless sky with a hot sun and a clear, atmosphere seemed definitely to introduce the now season. Tho frost caught the early suceptibio produce of many kitchen gardens and reminded devotees that such occurrences are by no means rare in this district.
The clear atmosphere enabled a wonderful view of the mountain scenery and from the heights immediately behind Feilding a remarkable view of Mt. Egmont was obtained. Only on exceptional days such as that experienced yesterday is this mountain visible from Mt. Stewart and the Halcombe hills and the sight yesterday was unusually fine.
