Transfer of Sister Smith
HOSPITAL BOARD NOT TO ALTER DECISION
A petition signed by 600 persons requesting tho Palmerston North Hospital Board to reconsider its decision to transfer Sister Smith, District nurse at Peilding, to Palmerston North was handed to the board yesterday by Mr. V. E. Smith.
“I don’t think anyone could wish for anything more complimentary than this petition,” said the chaii’man (Mr. J. K. Hornblow), “but as wo have already decided to transfer Sister Smith to Palmerston Nbrth, where she will be undertaking a Tefresher course at the hospital, I don’t think wo need discuss this any further.” No action was taken by tho board.
