Fordell Spring Cattle Fair

-An outstandingly successful sale was held at Foruell on Tuesday, when an entry of 800 head of cattle was submitted to a good attendance of buyers? Home splendid lines of big Hereford steers were yarded and also some exceptional iines of fat cows and heifei'3. Top price was £lO 10s paid for a fat heifer sold by Mr. A. H, McLean. A line of Hereford 4-year bullocks, on account of the same vendor, made from £7 10s to £7 18s. Fifty-one Hereford .steers, sold in conjunction with Dalgety and Co., Ltd., on account Lismore station, made £7 2s. A lino of 3-year Hereford steers on account Mr. Noel Neils-oii, made £7 ss. A line of fat heifers, on account Mr. Archie Sutherland, made £0 Is. Practically every line was sold at auction at prices at the highest level reached since the siump. Femalo and young cattle sold well, although not so dear in comparison with the bullocks.

Some of the other prices realised were as follow: —Fat bullocks, £8 ISs; 3-year Hereford steers, £7 ss, £6 8s; 2year steers, £5, £5 12s 6d; 2-year heifers, £3 14s, £4, £3 13s, £4 2, £3 17s Gd; empty cows and heifers, £4 16s, £4 13s;. fat cows and heifers, £6 15s, £6 7s 6d, £B, £6 17s 6d, £7 10s, £O, £lO 10s; Jersey fat cows, £4 8s; small yearling steers, £3 7s to £4-Is; yearling P.A. steers, £4 4s to £4 13s.
