New Type of Bait
An. electrical fishing device, invented by Mr. William Reeve, of Newcastle, has been tested on the tunny grounds oil: Scarborough (Eng.). “It is n specially-made torpedoshaped apparatus like a fish,” he said. “This is internally illuminated by electric bulbs fed from a battery on the vessel and attracts fish from a distance. “When they snap at this artificial bait they are caught by hooks which trail along behind the moving torpedo.”
