Is Italy Bankrupt?
ROUMANIA THREATENS TO STOP OIL SUPPLIES. BELGIAN COAL BILL UNPAID. Received Tuesday, 11.20 p.m. BUCHAREST, Sept. 00. Roumania, which, hitherto has been one of Italy's chief sources of oil and petrol, lias informed Italy that supplies would he stopped on Wednesday unless the debt for these exports amounting to £1,250,000 was paid. LONDON, Sept, 30. The Times says Brussels is protesting against Italy’s obstruction to payments for Belgian coal. Tho .Director of Commercial Agreements is going to Rome to attempt a settlement.
