From Our Own Correspondent. Bulb and Produce Show. This show was held on Tuesday, tho proceeds being divided among the library, domain and local branch of the Plunket Society. Entries in most classes were less than usual, but ail articles and blooms were of a high standard. In the absence of tho president, .Mr K. J. Morgan, Mr C, Smith (vice-president) tendered tho thanks of tho committee to tho exhibitors, tho judges and those who had helped to make the show the success it was. He tendered special thanks tu tile energetic secretary, Mr N. Martin. Ho read telegrams ol apology lrom Hon. .1. G. Cobbe. who was unable to be present; and also from Mr J. Morgan; who has undergone an operation in Palmerston North. He called upon tho patron, Mr E. H. Haythorne, to officially declare tho show open.
