HALIFAX (Nova Scotia), May 20.

Treasure hunters for over 10U years Lave been tearing' Oak Island, off the Nova Scotia coast, (o pieces in search oil Captain Kidd’s vast pirate treasure, said to have been buried there more than 200 years ago.

Although nobody has yet found as much as a single doubloom, there are still plenty of optimists trying to win a fortune by digging holes in the island. These attempts have generally led to arguments with landowners, and now a Bill has been introduced in the Provincial Legislature to settle such disputes. Under the Bill, hidden treasure would be placed under the Mines Act, and the Government would set a price for property when treasure seekers and landowners disagree about terms.
