Speaking at the annual general meeting of the Levin. Co-operative DairyCompany, Ltd., on Thursday, the Chairman of Directors said that the spirit of true co-operation among shareholders had never been more pronounced than it was that day. Ho expressed himself as extremely gratified for the feeling.
Tho sale of the long railway and traffic bridge over the Kakaia Liver—said to be tho longest bridge in the Dominion—is at present being negotiated between tho Main Highways Board and the Railway Department (says the Christchurch Press). No definite decisou has been reached, but it is believed that it will not be long before the matter is settled, Tho proposals involve the purchase of the brige by the Main Highways B-ard and the construction of a new oridge by the Railway Department.
