From Our Own Correspondent. A successful euchre and dance, under the auspices of the tennis club, was held on Wednesday evening. The winners in the cards section were Miss N. brill and Mr T Harvey, while the consolation prizes were won by Miss M. Andeison and Mr W. Gosling (jnr). After supper, tlio hall was cleared for dancing, the music being supplied by Miss Anderson and Messrs R. Brill and L. Craven. Mr J. Judd acted as M.C. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Mrs R. Scott and Mr *ni. Anderson, and the winner of the competition was Mrs L. Craven. The purpose of these functions is to raise sufficient funds for the laying of a concrete court and the committee is to be congratulatou upon its efforts in this direction. With a fair measure of support, it is lioperul or having the court completed and rends for play next season. The friends of Mr .T. Hopcroft who, for the past three weeks, has been in hospital, will be pleased to learn that he has been allowed to return to his home Mr and Mrs Win.
