Applications for three air service licenses vrill be made by New Zealand Airways, Ltd., to the Transport Co-or-dination Board, which will meet in Wellington on Thursday next. The proposed services cover a wide territory and embrace both islands, although no inter-island service is contemplated. The first application is for a service connecting Gisborne with Auckland, via Whakataue, Kotorua and Hamilton, with a further link northward to Whangarei. An alternative Auckland-Wel-iiagtou route to that granted to Great Pacific Airways is the second license sought. The route proposed travels through Wairarapa and up the East Coast, stopping places being Masterton, Dannevirke, Napier, Taupo, ltotorua and Hamilton. The third is a Christ-church-Dunedin service, via Central Otago, the route being Christchurch, Timaru, Cromwell, Queenstown and Dunedin, with the right to call at Banfurly or Eoxburgh.
