Prom Our Own Correspondent. Hr. Lange, instructor in agriculture to the Wanganui Education Board, visited the local school on- Tuesday and inspected tlio plots in the mangold growing competition. A wedding of local interest took place in Longbuni on Tuesday afternoon when Hiss Bene Marshall and Hr. K. Langkilde, both of Karere, were married. Mr. Langkilde lias recently acquired a farm in this district, where he intends making his future home. The fortnightly euchre and aance was held on the evening of Friday last. The prise winners were Mrs. Walter McEweu and Mr. W. Johnson. Consolation prizes were awarded to Miss J. Morley and Mr. X. Parkinson. Hr. Ganderton supplied the music for the dance. Miss A. McEweu, who has been touring the North Island with friends is now staying in Taranaki. Mrs. Edwards and Miss Edith McEwen of "Kosiel,” with their two small nieces, Helen and Shirley, are spending a holiday at the Plimmerton beach. Miss Margaret Holder, of "Wellington, was the guest of Miss M. Howland during the week-end. Mr. Boger Walker has been staging with Mr. W. Howland. Mr. T. Watts was the guest of Mr. Stuart Bichardson for the week-end. Mrs. 1.. Li. Humphries has returned to the district. Miss Paula Langkilde, of Olorohanga, was a visitor to the district for the Lang-kilde-Marshall wedding. She was the guest of Mrs. N. P. Nielsen and Mrs. Marshall. Mrs. S. Boss has returned from her visit to iximatangi.
