Big Electrical Strike in U.S.A.
many industries paralysed. Received Thursday, 9.50 p.m. TOLEDO (Ohio), June 5. A strike of electricians and office ■workers in five plants of the Toledo Edison Company has compelled some of the largest industries here to shut down and has threatened to paralyse industries in twenty other cities. The strikers have declared that, shortly they will make the strike 100 per cent, effective. The electrical workers have asked for a 20 per cent, increase in wages.
