WHEAT PURCHASE BOARD’S DECISION Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. The Wheat Purchase Board, having satislied itself that the milling requirements of tho Dominion for the current years have been substantially filled or arranged for and that there is a certain amount of P.A.Q. wheat which oau be mado available as fowl! food, has decided to reduce tho selling prico o£ tho board’s stocks of wheat for fowl food to 4s 3d a bushel, sack extra, f.o.b. South Island ports, for shipment to tho North Island. This is a reduction of 3d a bushel on tho existing price and will operate to assist poultry farmers in the North Island The revised prico will take effect as from July 5, the prico for South Island deliveries remaining unchanged. 'The now prico for shipments to the North, tho board states, will result in a landed ex wharf cost at Auckland of approximately 4s lOd a bushel, sacks in, and on present-day overseas values this figure is within a very few pence of equivalent to the landed cost of imported supplies duty free at the northern port.
