Churchwardens Make Annual Review

FOR ALL SAINT’S CHURCH The annual reputation of the churchwardens of All Saint’s Church (Messrs 0. Monrard, and 11. G. Bagnall states: “We have pleasure in again placing before parishioners a statement of accounts showing a small balance’ in favour of revenue. In our fast report tcferonco was made to our liabilities, both parish and home. During the year the liability in respect of the new vicarage has been reduced from £750 to £540, and tho dobt on the boys’ club shows a slight reduction. The liability of Takaro has been increased £423 to £7OO as a result of much-needed extensions to cope with tho increasing Sunday school attentancc. . “Tho financial position of tho Children’s Home has been materially altered for -the better by the groat generosity of Mr William Reed in donating £2OOO to our funds, also by tho receipt from tho executors of the late Mr Edwin Akors, of Raumai, of £2OO in terms of the will. The home’s liabilities as a result have been reduced from £2600 to approximately £430. “During the year, the death of Mr Alan Skorman occurred. For some 45 years to the date of his retirement from active participation in parish affairs through ill-health a few years ago the late Mr Skermau practically carried the parish on his back. Wc know that it was his hope that a window would be dedicated in the chapel to his meutory and we trust that parishioners will by tlieir support render well-deserved tribute to his memory possible.”
