Deep depressions are situated over south-eastern Australia and to the cast of New Zealand respectively, whilo an anti-cyclone of slight intensity is approaching across the Tasman. Winds: Strong south-west to southerly, reaching gale force in places, moderating to-morrow. Seas (N.Z. waters); Moderate south of Farewell Spit, elsewhere rough.

Eastern Tasman Sea: Alodcratc to fresh southerly winds, decreasing and later becoming variable. Seas moderate to rather rough, but decreasing. Weather: Changeable in eastern districts and North Auckland, with showers at times; some heavy falls between Hawke’s Bay and East Cape, otherwise fine; improving generally tomorrow. Temperatures cold.
