Malicious Wounding of Constable
Deceived Thursday, 10.40 p.m. SYDNEY, March 21
In the Criminal Court in Sydney today, James Lucas, aged. 46, was sentenced to death for maliciously wounding Constable Artlrurson, with intent to murder, at Bargo, near Goulburn, on January 6. Art'hurson, who is now almost recovered from his bullet wound, disturbed two men robbing a shop and challenged them to put up their hands, upon which he was shot, allegedly by Lucas, who was later arrested.
