Te Kawau Primary Schools' Football

RUGBY FIXTURES FOR 1935 Last season the representative team of this district’s schools entered into a quadrangular contest with the Palmerston North, Oroua and Feilding teams. As many Saturday mornings were taken up playing these games, the Te Kawau competition was severely interfered with, only one round being completed. In view of this the association has decided to withdraw from the quadrangular contest and to have its own representative team, games for which will bo arranged later in the season, but not until two rounds have been completed for all teams in the competition. So as to ensure that there will be time at the conclusion of tho second round for outside games, the committee had agreed to set the ball rolling on the first Saturday in April, but as holidays cut out four Saturdays it was decided to advance the date to Alarch 30. This should bo a move in tho right direction, for as most of the transport is carried on by farmers no trouble should be experienced in securing cars when dairy work is at a minimum.

Some schools arc associated with neighbouring schools to make the numbers drawn upon as even as possible. In the fixtures below Taikorea is combined with Glen Oroua, Carnarvon with Clydesdale, Sanson with Ohakea, Rangiotu with Bainesse, and Kopane with Awahuri. For simplicity the former school in each group only will be mentioned.
