The quantity of wool available for the March series of London sales to open on Tuesday next will be 109,500 bales, including new arrivals; Australian, 33,000 bales; New Zealand, 43,000 bales. It is expected that. 128,000 bales will be catalogued. LONDON WHEAT PRICES. LONDON, March 5. Wheat cargoes are quieter, owing to lower Winnipeg closing rates and some improvement in sterling. Australians are less freely oil'ered at an advance of 3d. Business .is reported for p'rompt. shipment of AVestralian to the Far East at about 25s 3d. Fair trading in Australians to the United Kingdom is leported and part Newton Beech sold at 25s 4id, and part Wcstralian ex unnamed vessel, April, in bags and bull;

MAETON STOCK SALE

The N.Z. Fanners’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report an excellent sale at Martou ou Tuesday, when they yarded 3550 sheep, 30 cattle and 55 pigs. There was a large attendance and competition was keen ou every line submitted, some very line lilies of 2-tootli owes came forward and the, top price was secured by Mr. C. G. Gray for a pen of 2SO which realised 31s 3d. Mr. Honeyinan’s ew r e lambs realised ISs and his wether lambs 14s. The inquiry for good breeding ewes was well sustained right throughout the sale, forward rape Jambs also sold well with the exception of one pen of low-conditioned ewes, the whole yarding was disposed of under the hammer as follow: —On account C.
