Making The lost Of Ethyl

Some motorists may fool that thej have not noticed any marked improvement in the performance of their cars when changing from an ordinary petrol to an Ethyl super spirit. This may be partly due to the fact that their first lilf of Ethyl has been added to a tank already containing, say, a couple of gallons of ordinary petrol and that tho Ethyl motor spirit has been, diluted in consequence. However, tho full advantage of a spirit which has a very high anti-knock rating, such as an Ethyl spirit, can only be obtained from an engine that has been tuned to suit this modern type of motor spirit. The first thing to do it to get your service-man to advance the spark slightly and in some cases it is advisable also to have the carburettor adjusted to a “leaner” setting. Those adjustments, which only take a few minutes, particularly the advancing of the spark, will Tcsulfc in smoother and cooler running and increased mileage. The increase in power will also be most marked.

As there is a certain amount of experience and technical knowledge necessary to obtain tho best,result, it is advisable to get your regular serviceman to make these adjustments.
