Longburn

From Our Own Correspondent

A dance to aid the candidature of Miss June Scott, the Pipe Band Queen, was held on Tuesday evening-. Due, no doubt, to the inclement weather conditions there was not a very large attendance, nevertheless a very enjoyable time was spent by all. Splendid old-time dance music was supplied by a professional orchestra. Mr. A. McDuft was M.C. A euchre tournament was conducted, the winners being Mrs. Brockless and Mr. B. Pratt. Mrs. Christensen has re-turned home from Dannevirke. Mrs. Holder, who has been staying with friends at Karere, has gone to Feiiding. Mr. Marshall has returned home after spending an enjoyable holiday with friends in AVhangarei.
