Air-mail Service From Britain LINKING TJP WITH NEW ZEALAND Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Australia-Singapore-England airmail service, which is to be inaugurated next month, will be available for mails to and from New Zealand, according to nn announcement by the I’ustnmstcrGenerai (Hon. A. Hamilton) to-day. Air-mails from Australia by the first flight will leave Brisbane on Monday, December 10, and will arrive in London on December 24, while the through air service from Britain will commence from London on December S, the airmails being due in Brisbane on December 20.

The regular schedule provides lor a weekly air'service to and from Britair. commencing at Brisbane on Wednesdays and terminating at London on .Mondays, 12 days later, while Ihe inward service will commence in London on Saturdays and terminate at Brisbane on Thursdays, also 12 days inter. The schedule is so arranged that airmails despatched from New Zealand on Eridajs will connect wit’ll the air-mail at Brisbane the following Wednesday, while airmails arriving at Brisbane on Thursdays will connect with the New Zealand steamer leaving on Fridays. With reference to the first flight on the new service, the last mail Loin New Zealand to connect will be despatched from Auckland on November 30 by the .Monterey. The first inward mail should connect with the Monowai, leaving Sydney on December 21 and arriving at Auckland on December 24.

Parkhill (Minister for Defence) said that, unless there was adverse comment against the De Havilland 86 aeroplanes by the committee investigating the Longreach air disaster, the oversea air-mail service would begin from Brisbane on the original contract date, December 10, and there would be no need to use any other type of aero plane.
