Cold, Unsettled and Squally Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. A deep depression covers the New Zealand area and is now moving eastward fairly rapidly. Winds: Westerly at first north of New Plymouth and Napier, otherwise southerly prevailing, moderate to strong generally and in places reaching gale force. Seas (New Zealand waters): Heavy cn the west coast of the North Island, elsewhere rough. Eastern Tasman Sea: Southerly winds, strong to gale force, but gradually moderating. Seas rough. ‘ Weather: Cold, unsettled and squally, with further rain in most districts and hail on parts of the East Coast, improving soon, however, in western districts of tho South Island and gradually elsewhere.
