Garden Party At Sanson
"Itr'beautiful weather the British rind Foreign Bible Society and the Girl Guides combined to hold a garden party at the residence of Mr A. Iv. Drciv, Sanson, Although there was not a large attendance, the afternoon passed very pleasantly with games and competitions. The Rev R. E. Fordyce entertained the children with various games, and at intervals the Gin Guides and Boy Scouts gave some interesting displays. The sweets and soft drinks stall was well patronised by the children seeking refreshment in the heat of the day. A suitable opportunity Rev. R. E. Fordyce thanked Mr and Mrs Drew •for the "use of their gronnds and making it possible to spend a most enjoyable afternoon. Mr Drew suitably replied. Competitions conducted during the afternoon were won by Mrs Trickcr and Mr Ifansen (ladder croquet), and Miss Galbally (putting pegs on a line).
