Citizens are reminded of the rose show to be held in the Empire Hall ou Saturday, November 24. Good competition is expected jn tho various sections. There should bo a good display of flowers, and sweet peas should be an attractive section. In the open section, the collection of flowers (eight varieties) should provido an opportunity of showing many beautiful flowers; this also applies to the collections annual's and perennials) in the amateur sections. The chief trophies for competition are tho nurserymen's trophy for six varieties of roses (amateur) and A. J. Shailer and Son’s trophy for one rose (amateur). New exhibitors aro welcomed iu all sections (flowers, vegetables, domestic and decorative)* even if with only ono entry. The secretary will bo at tho Empire Hall on Friday evening at 7 o’clock, to receive entries. Schedules are obtainable at florists.
