After a brief illness the death occurred oji Monday of Mr. Henry B Ricketts, of (iS Featherstono street. He leaves a widow and one daughter, Mrs. Bryan Simpson, of Palmerston North. The death occurred at the Dannevirko Hospital on Saturday night of Mr. James Venle, a highly respected resident of Porangahau. Mr. V calc was the father of Messrs. Thomas Vcalc and Jack Vcalc, Oroua Downs. Visiting Wellington at present is Colonel Charles L. Lindemen, D. 5.0., Legion d’Honncur, Mons Star, who has had a distinguished military career, during which he served right through the Great War.
