Wanganui Wedding

STOTT—WARDEN A wedding of district interest was that celebrated at St. Mary's Church, Wanganui, on Monday, when Jean, oldest daughter of the Into Mr and Mrs C. H. Warden, of Wanganui, and formerly of Palmerston North, was married to Arthur, only son of Mr and Mrs E. Stott, of Wellington.

The bride, who was escorted by her uncle,. Mr Donald W. Eraser, Danuovifkc, wore a smart frock of brown and beige ribbed marocain, with widebrimmed beige hat banded with brown and shoes and gloves to -'tone. Her posy was composed of brown am! orange flowers, and tied with orange streamers. Miss Mary Warden, her sister, was the bridesmaid, wearing a duck-egg blue frock, finished with accordion pleating, a' wide white hat, and white shoes and gloves. Her posy was of cream and blue blossoms. Kev. Father • Ainsworth performed the ceremony, and Mr William Archer, Wellington, was best man.

After tho ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mr and Mrs James Glenn, when Airs Glenn, wearing a black figured ensemble, received about 60 guests. Mrs Stott, the bridegroom’s mother, wore black georgette and lace and a black hat, and carried a posy of scarlet rosebuds. Miss Stott wore wine marocain and that to match; Mrs Archer, Wellington, sister of the bridegroom, wore a navy costume and hat; Mrs Fraser (Dnnncvirke), aunt of the bridegroom, wore black georgette; Miss Betty Fraser, black costume; Miss Barbara Warden, pink figured shantung frock and white hat and shoes. When Mr and Mrs Stott left, the latter wore a beige tweed ensemble and smart small hat.
