Coming-of-age Party Held At Longburn
A party in honour of Miss R. Marshall’s twenty-first birthday was celebrated in the Longburn hall on Wednesday fast, when a large number of guests spent a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The time was spent in dancing to music supplied by Mr R. Nicholson, also games, items, etc. A competition held during the evening was won by Mr D. Aldersley. Items wore given by Mr W. Gregg (songs), Miss R. Birch (songs), Miss V. Zurcher (recitation), R. Nicholson (guitar solo), and Messrs D. Rowland and I. Fraser gave a harmonised number. Supper was served, after which, the toast of “The Guest of tho Evening” was honoured. Mr IC. Langkeldo replied on behalf of Miss Marshall. Mr, Marshall, on behalf of hi s wife, presented Miss Marshall with a gold key in the form of a brooch.
