Sixty persons are missing following tho capsizing of a Chinese naval launch after leaving Weihaiwei Island for the mainland.

The vessel which was overloaded with two hundred Chinese naval men, had scarcely left the jetty when it overturned. A British gunboat succeeded in rescuing many, but sixty are not accounted for.
