MANAYVATU v. TE HAWAII. Those of the public who a.ro desirous of witnessing what promises to be keen basketball are advised to attend the matches to be staged on tho Technical School grounds, Grey street, to-morrow (Saturday) afternoon, when Tc Kawau A and IS representative teams will meet Manawatu A and B players lyThe Manawatu A team, which travelled to the annual tournament in Dunedin recently, is in particularly good form, and all four teams can boast some specially fine players. It is worthy of mention that at tho Dominion tournament Manawatu secured more goals than the winning team of their section. The fact that Horowhonua players had not practised with Manawatu before tho tournament probably accounted for Manawatu’s losses in their first games. The good work of the forwards and defence, and, in fact the general improvement of the team as tho tournament progressed earned a great deal of appreciative comment for Manawatu players in Dunedin. Following arc tho Manawatu teams:— Manawatu A: J. Clevcly, P. Payne, E. MacDonald, J. Barrie, E. Sinclair, M. Bishop, J. Sheppard, M. Milverton, M. MacDonald. Manawatu B: F. "Young, Y. YVhcatley, B. Hansen, D. Weston, B. Culpan. E. l'oung, M. YValdegravc, J. Cruttcn den, B. Mason. Emergencies for both teams: C. Boarslcy, M. Perry, A. Clarke.
