Feilding Harmonica Band

SUCCESSFUL CONCERT The Feilding Harmonica Band provided tho programme for a successful concert held jn tile Parish Hull on Wednesday evening. The organisation was in the cajiable .hands of Hr 13. Gillard, who in addition to the Land’s complement of 20 players, brought together assisting artists whose contributions enhanced tho pleasure derived by a largo audience. The stage decorations were artistically arranged by Miss hi. Cleland. During the evening Mr Billiard, president of the band, thanked the performers for the programme and also tho patrons for their generous support of tho band’s first public appearance. Mrs Mitchell, of Bunnythorpc, it was announced, had been successful' in winning tho inlaid tray which had been donated to help the band funds. In addition to items by the band numbers wero rendered by tho Bailees children, of Bunnythorpc; Mr Flowers, of Palmerston North (ventriloquist); three members of the Harmonica Band from Palmerston North; Miss Fraser, a song; Earle Cattericlc, a recitation; Noel Ford, a Highland fling (the music on the bagpipes by Mr Pike); and Betty Ford, an action song. A community sing, led by Mr Wood, was greatly enjoyed. After supper dancing was indulged in until' tho early hours, the music being supplied by tho Harmonica Band, assisted by Prof. Martin on the banjo.
