Steps in Kitchen Counted

The number of steps a. woman takes during work in the kitchen have been counted by the architects of houses on a new cstato in England to save her unnecessary efforts. The houses, at the Gidca Park Estate, Korn ford, Essex, were prize-winners iu the all-Britain architectural competition, for which 500 entries were received. Somo of the houses have flat roofs, designed to take beds in hot weather, and are so built that the living room has the sun all day.
